EVgo has announced that more than 1,000 DC fast-charging stalls are already available at Pilot & Flying J locations in 40 states.
The three partners — Pilot, General Motors, and EVgo — plan to deploy up to 2,000 stalls across up to 500 locations coast-to-coast, which means they are halfway to their 2023 goal.
The joint project accelerated recently as the number of locations exceeded 130 (in 25 states) in March 2025, reaching 200+ locations in nearly 40 states in September 2025. At that point, the number of individual DC fast-charging stalls at Pilot and Flying J locations was close to 850.
The partnership with Pilot and General Motors has become a major part of the EVgo charging network.
As of the end of Q3 2025, EVgo had 4,590 DC fast-charging stalls in operation; the chargers at Pilot & Flying J locations represent roughly a fifth of the entire network.
The joint project is highly beneficial for EV drivers, who are getting a DC fast-charging option at strategically located stations, often with pull-through stalls and amenities. The typical power output of EVgo chargers is 350 kW with support for high-voltage battery systems.
