Francis Energy Installs Superchargers Under Tesla’s Supercharger for Business Program

The grand opening of the first site in Norman, Oklahoma, is scheduled for tomorrow (January 13, 2026).

The Francis Energy DC fast-charging network has officially signed up for Tesla’s Supercharger for Business program, which enables third-party companies to build EV charging infrastructure using a full-service package from Tesla.

So far, Francis Energy has been relying on various charger suppliers, operating roughly 185 charging sites and 950 stalls (it was the 9th largest network by the number of DC ports at the beginning of 2026).

The First Site: Norman, Oklahoma

The first Francis Energy charging station with Tesla Superchargers is located in Norman, Oklahoma. It’s not a new site, but an upgraded one, where the older hardware has been replaced with Superchargers.

According to Francis Energy’s announcement, the grand opening of the newly upgraded station will take place this Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Crest Foods in Norman. The event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a live charging demonstration, and food trucks.

Tesla has already posted photos and the site’s location (see the map here). The site features four Supercharging stalls (up to 325 kW). All EVs are welcome, as the charging dispensers have NACS (SAE J3400) connectors and built-in NACS-to-CCS1 adapters (aka Magic Dock). The price for all EVs is set at $0.44/kWh.

More Francis Energy Superchargers Coming

The first station in Norman, Oklahoma, is just the beginning. Francis Energy wrote that many more sites are expected to open under Tesla’s Supercharger for Business program. This suggests that Tesla’s offer of a turnkey solution for third-party charging networks is more competitive than building its own systems using off-the-shelf chargers.

According to John Baker (@JohnBakerCharge / X) from Supercharge.info, there are already several Francis Energy locations with four or eight Supercharging stalls under construction:

Tesla’s Other Customers

Building DC fast-charging infrastructure with Tesla is a compelling option for many businesses, especially smaller ones. That’s because they can get access to a full package (hardware, software, and maintenance services), and their sites are immediately visible to all Tesla EVs (and Tesla’s EV partners). Being listed in EV navigation is a major sales channel.

We have already heard about a few charging networks working with Tesla. In the US, the first new player was Suncoast Charging, which opened its first station in November 2025 and plans 20 more in 2026 alone.

In January 2026, a new 4-stall Supercharging site was opened by the Pie Safe in Deary, Idaho (see the map here).
