Honda and Acura EV Owners in Canada Also Gain Tesla Supercharger Access

It took a few months longer than in the US.

Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX owners in Canada have recently gained access to more than 25,000 Tesla Supercharging stalls available to Tesla’s NACS partners across North America.

The Japanese manufacturer announced the news on October 6, 2025, which means it took over two months longer compared to the US, where access started in July.

In both cases, Honda and Acura EV users are asked to use only manufacturer-approved NACS-to-CCS1 adapters. They can be purchased through authorized Honda and Acura dealers across Canada for $400 CAD.

Initially, access to the Tesla Supercharging network is possible only through the Tesla app. It’s necessary to initiate a charging session and pay for charging. Honda and Acura are in the process of integrating Supercharging with their software systems, but it’s not yet ready.

State Of Charge‘s Tom Moloughney explained how to use Superchargers with Honda and Acura, in terms of the US launch:

The upcoming next-generation Honda and Acura electric cars (such as the Acura RSX) will be natively equipped with a NACS (SAE J3400) charging port, rather than a CCS1. These new EVs will be able to charge at Superchargers without adapters (adapters will still be needed to use CCS1 chargers).
