Porsche Expands Plug & Charge to Tesla Supercharging Network

Select Porsche EVs can benefit from Plug & Charge at North American Superchargers.

Porsche Cars North America has announced that Plug & Charge functionality is now available on the Tesla Supercharger network in North America via Porsche Charging Service.

The integration follows the brand’s soft launch access to the Tesla Supercharging network in September 2025.

Only select Porsche EVs benefit from the Plug & Charge functionality at Superchargers:

  • The 2026 Porsche Taycan
  • All model years of the Porsche Macan Electric
  • The upcoming Porsche Cayenne Electric

The mentioned EVs can access more than 27,500 Tesla Supercharging stalls (those available to Tesla’s NACS partners) without the need for separate apps or credit cards. Authentication and payment can be seamless and automatic, reducing wait times and making the service more convenient.

The compatible Superchargers are listed in the Porsche’s navigation system.

Other Porsche EVs (such as the older Porsche Taycan) require manual initiation of a charging session (see how to do it via the Tesla app in this State Of Charge video).

Porsche also offers Plug & Charge capabilities with some other charging networks, including Electrify America.

Timo Resch, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America, said:

‟Expanding Plug & Charge availability more than 27,000 additional charging stations simplifies the charging process and enhances ease of use. It is an important milestone in delivering a seamless electric vehicle experience,”.

Since Porsche EVs in North America are equipped with a CCS1 charging port so far, they need a NACS-to-CCS1 adapter to access Superchargers (a small number of dispensers have an integrated adapter).
