Tesla Introduces a Live 3D Supercharger Site Map

It shows a 3D view of select Supercharging stations in the navigation screen.

The latest Tesla 2025 Holiday Update brings a whole set of software improvements and new features to its EVs, including one dedicated to Supercharging: the Supercharger Site Map.

Tesla introduces a live 3D Supercharger site map that displays a real-time, 3D view of a Supercharging site in the navigation, so the driver sees not only the layout but also the availability of each stall and even nearby businesses. It might be helpful, especially at very large and busy stations.

“You can now see a 3D view of select Tesla Superchargers by tapping “View Site Map”. When navigating to a pilot location, the site layout and live occupancy (Available / Occupied / Down) will be displayed upon arrival”

There are two ways to see the live 3D Supercharger map: by navigating to a Supercharger site included in the pilot rollout of the feature, or by tapping “View Site Map”.

The manufacturer explains that initially, the new feature will be available at 18 pilot sites — one in Texas and 17 in California.

The list of the initial 18 Supercharger sites with 3D Site Maps is here:

  • Alameda, CA
  • Austin, TX – Research Boulevard
  • Carlsbad, CA – Paseo Del Norte
  • Cupertino, CA – Stevens Creek Boulevard
  • Daly City, CA – Mission Street
  • Diamond Bar, CA
  • Firebaugh, CA
  • Fremont, CA – Pacific Commons Boulevard Ave
  • Harris Ranch, CA
  • Marin City, CA – Donahue Street
  • Menlo Park, CA
  • Mountain View, CA – Grant Road
  • San Bruno, CA – El Camino Real
  • San Bruno, CA – San Bruno Ave
  • San Carlos, CA
  • Santa Monica, CA
  • Union City, CA
  • Williams, CA – 6th Street

Max de Zegher, Tesla’s Director of Charging North America (@MdeZegher / X), wrote that Tesla will work to refine the feature and eventually enable it for all Superchargers.

With the introduction of the Tesla live 3D Supercharger map, we are reminded that Tesla does not stop impressing with new, pioneering ideas and its never-ending pursuit of improvement.
