Tesla has just opened another very large DC fast-charging station: a new 60-stall Supercharging site is now available in Manning, South Carolina.
The location supports EV drivers traveling I-95, which, according to Max de Zegher, Tesla’s Director of Charging North America (@MdeZegher / X), is becoming as busy as I-5 on the West Coast and needs 100+ stalls along key exits.
The latest station is not only large, but it’s also equipped with a solar canopy. The peak power output is 325 kW, as Tesla installed V4 Supercharging dispensers combined with V3 power electronics cabinets. The base price is $0.34/kWh for Tesla EVs and $0.48/kWh for other EVs (since the station is available to Tesla’s NACS partners).
Mobile Superchargers for the Holiday Rush
Just like in previous years, Tesla is preparing for peak travel days by deploying Megapack Chargers and Mobile Supercharger Units.
The Megapack Chargers feature Megapack battery energy storage with Supercharging dispensers. The Mobile Supercharger Units are simply preassembled Superchargers that can be easily deployed wherever there is a power connection. Several such locations were installed in November.
Deployment of additional infrastructure builds on more conventional actions such as a site-opening push, proactive service visits, and attendants at some of our busiest sites, the company explains.
Thanksgiving 2025 already brought some massive usage records in the US.
We prepare for peak travel days through a site opening push, proactive service visits, attendants at some of our busiest sites, and deployment of mobile assets.
