The Tesla Supercharging network reported strong year-end performance, with near-record usage and deployment in Q4 2025.
75,000 Stalls (+ 3,800 in Q4)
The company reports opening roughly 3,800 Supercharging stalls globally in Q4 (compared to 4,000 in Q3), which is more than 5% of the network size. The total in 2025 is roughly 13,500 stalls. Tesla promised that this year would be a record for the company’s Supercharger openings, and that might be the case.
However, the net deployment is usually slightly lower (due to the removal of older dispensers, we believe). We will know the net deployment number shortly, as Tesla includes it in its quarterly reports.
The total number of Supercharging stalls reached 75,000 on November 19, 2025.
Tesla Superchargers Usage: Q4 2025
Global Tesla Supercharger usage in Q4 2025 was estimated at 1.8 Terawatt-hours (TWh) of energy, up 27% year over year. The number of charging sessions amounted to 52 million (up 29% year-over-year).
The number of sessions is slightly lower than in Q3 (54 million), while the energy usage is stable compared to Q3. This pattern of Q4 being very close to Q3 repeated from 2024.
As always, we can use the numbers to estimate the average usage of the Tesla Supercharging network. The average charging session delivered 34.6 kWh of energy (slightly less than 34.7 kWh in Q4 2024).
At the same time, assuming 75,000 stalls (just an estimate, as the number changes during the period), the network’s average daily throughput per stall amounted to 261 kWh (globally), compared to 268 kWh in Q3, 251 kWh in Q2, and 227 kWh in Q1.
- Average session: 34.6 kWh
- Average daily throughput per stall: 261 kWh
- Average daily number of sessions per stall: 7.5
For reference, EVgo reported a throughput of 295 kWh per day per stall in Q3 2025, 281 kWh in Q2 2025, and 266 kWh in Q1 2025. Electrify America reported a daily distribution of approximately 340 kWh per charger throughout 2024.
Additionally, assuming 75,000 stalls, we estimate that each charging stall was used about 7.5 times per day on average (down from 8 in Q3 2025). Tesla’s chart from July 2025 also shows that the number approaches eight sessions per stall per day.
More data regarding the Supercharging network is expected to be included in the company’s quarterly report later this month.
Tesla Superchargers Usage: 2025
Separately, Tesla revealed that in 2025, its DC fast-charging network dispensed 6.7 TWh of energy, which is noticeably more than in 2024 (over 5 TWh).
As shown below, the network’s usage has grown each year since its inception in 2012.
