United Chargers, the manufacturer of Grizzl-E EV charging stations, has just announced a major upgrade to its Grizzl-E Club rewards by more than tripling the maximum cashback.
The Grizzl-E Club, launched in Canada on July 1, 2025, is essentially a Clean Fuel Credit-based pay-per-kWh program (the first of its kind). The club generates compliance credits through the operation of smart charging stations, which can be sold to other businesses that need to offset deficits (specifically fuel-related businesses).
The profits are then passed down to the club members in the form of free charging hardware, a lifetime warranty, and an energy cashback, as long as the customer remains a member. By the way, since December 2025, there is no membership fee — even after the first free year.
Up to $0.10 CAD/kWh
The club initially started with an energy cashback of $0.03 CAD/kWh. Now, United Chargers has introduced a tiered system that increases cashback rewards after each charging threshold is met. The maximum energy cashback is $0.10 CAD/kWh.
There are eight levels total for Grizzl-E Club rewards:
- Level 1: $0.03/kWh 0-5,000 kWh
- Level 2: $0.04/kWh 5,001-10,000 kWh
- Level 3: $0.05/kWh 10,001-15,000 kWh
- Level 4: $0.06/kWh 15,001-20,000 kWh
- Level 5: $0.07/kWh 20,001-25,000 kWh
- Level 6: $0.08/kWh 25,001-30,000 kWh
- Level 7: $0.09/kWh 30,001-35,000 kWh
- Ultimate: $0.10/kWh 35,001+ kWh
The Level 1 rate remains at $0.03 CAD/kWh. Once the user reaches a cumulative dispensed energy of 5,001 kWh, the rate switches to Level 2 at $0.04 CAD/kWh. Unlocking the following levels occurs every 5,000 kWh, up to $0.10 CAD/kWh at 35,001+ kWh dispensed.
Once a user hits a certain level, it never goes down, even if their usage decreases, the company explained.
“Grizzl-E Club members are assigned reward tier levels based on cumulative kWh consumed since program inception or the Member’s account activation date, whichever is later. Tier advancement is determined solely by total energy consumption and is not applied retroactively. Once a member qualifies for a higher tier, the corresponding reward rate applies to future charging sessions only”
How Many Miles?
The company says, “The more you charge, the more you earn”, although we must be aware that for most users, climbing up the ladder will take years.
Assuming one can drive 3-4 miles per kWh on average (typical EVs), one would need to drive 15,000-20,000 miles to level up in the program. At 2 miles per kWh (for large or the least efficient EVs), it would be 10,000 miles. On the other hand, earning up to a few dollars per charging session is a nice perk—especially since the charger is free as long as you remain a member.
Grizzl-E Club Expands and Improves
It’s great to see the Grizzl-E Club increase the energy cashback rate to up to $0.10 CAD/kWh. We also like the game-like approach, which encourages drivers to use EVs more and offset as much fuel as possible.
The latest change also fulfills United Chargers’ promise that the rate will increase — see State Of Charge’s interview with Gleb Nikiforov, CEO of United Chargers, from September 2025 here.
In December 2025, the Grizzl-E Club expanded to 1,000 members, and as of January 27, 2026, it has over 2,700 members.
Growth accelerates because, without the membership fee, the entire program is highly beneficial to participants (we described how it works here). Interestingly, even owners of Grizzl‑E smart chargers can join the club with their existing hardware.
Gleb Nikiforov, CEO of United Chargers, said:
“When we started the Grizzl-E Club on Canada Day 1 of July 2025, I promised that we would soon increase the cashback rewards. Today, I am proud to say that we have fulfilled that promise. Now we have over 2500 members, and the Grizzl-E Club is experiencing explosive growth that delivers incredible value to our customers and expands electric vehicle infrastructure across Canada”.
The club’s total dispensed energy is nearly 1.9 million kWh, and total member rewards have exceeded $55,000 CAD.
The year 2026 has barely begun, so there is a strong likelihood of further improvements to the Grizzl-E Club. The drop of the charger’s security deposit is merely one of them.
