Voltpost has launched the Voltpost Air, a next-gen AC Level 2 EV charger mounted 10 feet high on lampposts or utility poles to help prevent vandalism.

In a triumph for the industry, Voltpost deploys its first public lamppost EV charging point. The AC Level 2 charging station has been installed in Oak Park, IL.

Voltpost will install lamppost EV charging points in Connecticut, by retrofitting existing light poles. In an 18-month pilot program, some 50 charging stations with a total of 100 charging ports are to be deployed.

In an attempt to increase IoT connectivity across urban Michigan, a new partnership has been struck so Voltpost lamppost EV chargers will get AT&T connectivity.

Voltpost intends to solve the EV charging issue in big cities by retrofitting lampposts into modular and upgradable Level 2 charging points.
